I work over at this site that does custom startpages. A user can go over there and set up a page based on over 400 templates that have been designed by the site's design team. If you head over to the site, you'll see a bunch of them and totally get what I'm talking about.

The site is frequently in the Alexa top 25k, with over a million unique users. It's a great way to get your name out there (and might look pretty good in a portfolio/resume). It's also challenging and a lot of fun which is why I do it
